5 hand forged stainless steel banners, each 4m long, are suspended from street lights along Church Street, Ryde.
Each banner reflects historically important individuals who lived in Ryde, and developed local industries that became nationally significant, such as Gregory Blaxland (viticulture), James Squire (Beer) and Granny Smith ( Granny Smith Apple) and the Chinese market gardeners who cultivated extensive crops of fruit and vegetables.
