Project Details

Location: Sefton NSW
Value: $40 000
Date: 2006
Client: Bankstown Council

Materials: galvanised steel
Fabrication: Ross Engineering

Council created a pedestrian precinct with seating, lighting, planting and paving to upgrade the Sefton Shopping Centre. The art commission required the production of 2 lengths of fence, totalling 40 metres, to create a barrier between vehicles and pedestrians. Local school children illustrated their life in Sefton using collage. The typical 1950's fibro and brick houses, kids riding bikes and skateboards, gardens, the railway and associated underpasses and the water utility are all represented.
